“Again, I’m sorry for what happened last Saturday. I became too immature. I shouldn’t have sent that text to your husband. I promise I will never make such a mistake again, Doc Carter.” Jethro apologized for the nth time.
“Haven’t I told you that it’s okay and I don’t want to talk about that thing anymore? It’s okay; you don’t have to repeatedly apologize for it,” Hadley answered adequately, looking outside the car’s window.
“I’m still restless. I feel like you’re still mad at me. It was written all over your face, Doc Carter.”
Since then, Jethro has never stopped apologizing to Hadley. Yesterday, he did all he can to explain why he ended up doing that. Until now, he was not finished and Hadley was starting to feel annoyed.
“I am not mad at you, okay?” She said, trying not to show how pissed she already was. Again, because of the favor she had asked her intern to do—to drive her to work and drive her home, but now because of her car’s engine failure.
