Chapter 19. Mommy's Birthday

Sunny’s POV

“Oh, my sweet little Sunny! I’m so glad you came!” Damon’s mom immediately ran towards me as soon as she saw us stepping inside the restaurant. Damon dragged me here, and now I just realized that I didn't have any present for his mom. 

I smiled as I hugged her back, “Hi mommy, H-Happy Birthday.”

“Thank you, my dear.” she suddenly looked at the paper bag that I was holding, so I immediately hid it behind me. “Is that present for me?” she asked.

“H-Huh? A-Actually, it’s not—

“Yes! That is for you, mom! Babe really made this one for you, right, babe?” said Damon as he grabbed the paper bag from me and handed it to his mother. 

“B-But that one is—

He widened his eyes at me, then he put his arms around my shoulders, “Just ride in, that four-eyed man won’t need it anyway.”
