Chapter 107. His Ex
William POV
I lurked around the hallway pillar, waiting for Asher to make his move. My eyes scanned the corridor, my senses on high alert. And then, I saw him. Asher emerged from the shadows, his footsteps quiet as he made his way toward Queen Rebecca’s chamber.
I hid behind the pillar, watching as Asher disappeared around the corner. I tiptoed after him, my heart pounding in my chest. I had to be careful; one misstep could ruin everything.
I reached toward him and before he could react, my hand closed around the back of his neck. I then knocked him from behind, and he crumpled to the ground, unconscious.
“Fucking cool,” I hissed out under my breath and quickly glanced sideways to make sure that were alone.
The hallway was clear.
Satisfied.
