Chapter 69
Sandy’s POV
As I sat by the riverbank, watching the water flow by, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace. The sun was setting, and the sky was painted with shades of orange and pink. It was moments like this that made me forget about the troubles that came with being a luna.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching me. I turned to see Sylvester, my mate, walking toward me. He looked tired, but his eyes held a determination that I had grown to love.
“Sandy,” he said as he sat down next to me. “We have a lot to do.”
I nodded, knowing that he was right. As the alpha and luna of our pack, we had a responsibility to prove our worth as leaders. There were always challenges that we had to face, but we did it together, as a team.
“What’s on your mind?” I asked, turning to look at him.
“We need to show the pack that our love doesn’t interfere with our responsibilities,” he said, his eyes never leaving mine.
