Chapter 41. A Glimpse of Ashe

Elsie's POV

Stirring from my sleep, I felt myself more alert than the first time I awoke in this room. It took me seconds to focus my vision, and even though my injuries still hurt, they felt less painful already.

As soon as I had focused on my surroundings, I noticed no one by my bedside. I was alone in this room at last, perhaps now I could plan my escape.

"Elsie,"

The echoed voice of Ashe entered my mind, and I searched inside for my wolf, following the sound of her voice "Ashe?" I asked "Is that you?'

"Elsie, yes I'm here," Ashe replied, and I began to see her form appear in my mind, hazy at first, but she was slowly reforming to her usual self "You're in danger" she said. "You need to get out of there as quickly as you can!"

"Help me," I begged "They've done something to me and I don't know what,"
