Elsie's POV
"I feel trapped, this was the worst idea," Elsie's voice spoke in my mind, and I cowered before the tall figure of Rory Roth before me.
"It's fine," I replied to the timid voice in my mind as she spoke with defeat "I've got this, you're safe from him,"
I inched backwards, trying to make myself large as I puffed up my fur, but my body ached from where he had tossed me so easily to the ground as though I weighed nothing.
I watched the blood seep from the wound I had made in his shoulder with my sharp jaws, he held onto himself tightly, but the blood still trickled through the cracks of his fingers.
I knew I should run, quit while I was ahead, but I could sense something within Rory, a sense of something I couldn't recognise. I felt a morbid curiosity to know more. So I stood my ground, growling at the Alpha in my attempt to seem a threat so he would stay away from me.
