Chapter 56. It Was Not Your Fault
“Loving someone isn’t enough.”
***
Devvon’s POV
Father’s birthday celebration finally ended. I thought I would be sleeping until almost noon, but it’s inevitable that my body’s already aging.
Now, I am used to waking up so early like my elders do. And as usual, I am alone in bed.
“He’s probably at his whore again, his favorite bitch,” I bit my lips and sighed.
This was the first thing I got used to, waking up in a big room with a king-size bed alone. Three years after I married my husband, his affair started, and no matter how Father got rid of those women, they still kept coming back.
Luckily, I had my son even before he cheated with multiple women. At least I didn’t have to have sex with him anymore.
After all, our marriage was arranged. There was no love between us. However, I held my morale high and remained faithful until now for the sake of our family’s image, plus my respect towards Father who treated me well.
