After the conversation I had with Grandpa and mom-in-law, I stayed in bed all day.

I patiently waited for my husband’s return while calling him non-stop. I’ve dialed his number after every five minutes for eight consecutive hours now.

Yet, all my calls went straight to voicemail.

“Where the hell are you, Johann?” I cussed at him when I saw the sky getting darker and darker by the minute.

I sent him tons of copied text messages, “Where are you? We agreed to tell Grandpa, tonight? Right? It’s nighttime, when are you coming home, so we can get over this!”

But I never received even one response from him.
