Chapter 95. Scars from the Past

Emma’s POV

I remained silent for a while after listening to my mother’s story of why she left and I still could not believe that she went through these things all those years. I believed she abandoned me, and she never cared for me.

I fought so hard to hold back the stream of tears that was forcing itself to surface, but I could not do it anymore as they ran down my eyes, and the only thing I could feel in my heart was regret, and pain.

“Emma, I am sorry things went down this way for you and your mother. Trust us, we have no interest whatsoever in forcing your opinion on your mom. All we just wanted was for you to know the truth because, in the end, you both deserve to be happy,” Parker said as he petted my back softly.

“Yes and we will stand and accept whatever decision you make at the very end because we believe in you that you know what is best, and we trust your judgment, and I know just how you must have felt all those years in suffering
