Sebastian's POV

Cold. All I felt was cold. I had woken up a while ago to find the nurses hovering over me, but no family in sight. Apparently, the machines had been going crazy and it alerted nearly everyone in the hospital. I could still see Katherine. She was weeping in the corner.

I yearned to touch her, to hold her. I regret not building a stronger relationship with her. For not fighting for her. She wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for me. She'd be alive with Gina at home, warming her throne.

People were constantly passing through. The pain was excruciating. Soul after soul would appear and grasp my hand, begging to be transferred to the after life. I was the anchor. I had to deal with this.

It was my job to place the souls on the correct path that they deserved. The pain was numbing now, I was getting used to it. I had no idea what trapped me in my mind for so long. It was terrifying.
