Chapter 88

June left the restaurant immediately after getting the text message, it was already late and she felt disoriented by the message, she was about to start the car when she got another text.

She checked her phone quickly wondering if it was from Hardin but it was from Octavia.

[I thought to check on you, how is it going?]

[Hardin is nothing but a jerk.] She replied switching off her phone afterward, she knew if she didn't Octavia's call would follow next and she wasn't in the mood to pick up calls right now. 

How could Hardin do something like this to her? If he knew he wasn't coming, he could have just said so rather than making her waste her time in that restaurant looking like a fool.

The waiter didn't need to say anything but she could see it in his eyes that he suspected Hardin wasn't going to show up, maybe this wasn't his fault but hers.

Wasn't this what she wanted? For him to stop chasing after her like a mad dog. Yet, it didn't sit well
