Mihir stood up, facing Gauravi. "I had to see her. I had to do this," he said, indicating the turmeric paste.

"Di, Tell him to forget about all this, I can't betray my dad. He will be annoyed if he comes to know Mihir is here." Gauravi sighed, looking between them.

Gauravi hugged Tami. "I know, Tami. But remember, your happiness matters too. We'll figure something out." She then looked at Mihir. "Mihir, you have done it, please leave. For now, you need to leave. If anyone finds out you were here…"

Mihir nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I know. Thank you, Gauravi." He turned to Tami, giving her one last, lingering look before slipping out of the room.

Later that evening, the Mehndi ceremony took place. The atmosphere was festive, with traditional music playing in the background and women getting intricate henna designs applied to their hands.
