Chapter 13

Adrian awakens from his slumber as his phone rings. Adrian reaches for the cellphone above the table lamp to check who has already contacted him.

"Huh, can you just shut up?!" shrieked Adrian, half-closing his eyelids.

Adrian's sticky eyes prevent him from seeing who the name on the screen call is, so he origin pushes until he hears a voice talking to a woman from across the phone.

[Unknown] “Hello?”

[Adrian] “Yes, what is it? Please mention who you are and hurry up! I'm sleeping, and you're taking up my time.”

Adrian returns to a supine position while continuing to close his eyes.

[Unknown] “You didn't read what the name-caller said? Um... yeah, I thought the game had already begun wildly and violently earlier that morning, and you still didn't recognize my voice,”

[Adrian] “Wait, what?! I have no idea what you're talking about. I genuinely don't know,”

Adrian immediately opened his eyes to see if the woman on the phone was Leticia.
