Chapter 20. Troublemaker

When I came to my senses, we were tied up and placed in separate rooms in an unknown location. Fear consumed me as I wondered what the mafia had planned for us.

I couldn’t stop thinking about what we had gotten ourselves into. Riccardo always had a sense of calmness around him, but even he looked scared. We didn’t know what to do or whom to turn to.

Time passed slowly before someone finally entered my room. It was Don’s right-hand man, and he came with a proposition – tell them everything we knew about Riccardo’s plan to bring down the organization, and they would let us go unharmed.
