Chapter 45
Third-Person POV
Faith soaked in warm water for a few minutes. She added lavender scent to help her relax. Slowly, it cleared her mind of stress. It was better to face her husband and children calmly so the issue wouldn’t grow bigger.
Because what she wanted wasn’t hard: Don’t do what she doesn’t like, and don’t keep secrets from her like her husband did. Faith knew it had been going on for a while, but she couldn’t accept that he wasn’t being honest. She trusted that Martin wouldn’t deceive her. But still, it hurt.
After getting dressed, she came out wiping her long hair with a towel. Her husband wasn’t in the room, which made her frown. Faith immediately picked up her phone to call him, but instead she saw a text from Martin and read it right away:
I’m in Sean’s room, love. I’ll talk to our son. I’ll try to convince him not to insist on what he wants. Let’s talk later. I love you.
