Chapter 40. Assurance

Cristine’s POV 

“Are you sure you don’t want to go with me?” Yuri asked in front of me.

We are here at the airport, waiting for his flight. He was carrying two luggage and one backpack.

I smiled and chuckled. I wish I could, and I wish I wanted to. During our trip on the bus, he was asking me that question and telling me what awaits us in Canada, but I don’t see myself living and working there with him.

“Yes, I’m sure. I thought we already talked about this, Yuri?"

He released a sigh and looked down. I know that he was still hoping that I could love him too, but maybe this is a good way for him to forget about his feelings for me. He will surely find another girl out there who is actually way better than me.

“Yeah, but if ever you change your mind, I’m willing to jump off the plane and go back to you.” He looked up at me.

I shook my head and patted his shoulder.

“That will not happen. Just enjoy your flight, Yuri. Good luck on you
