Chapter 42. New Cases
Cristine's POV
I knocked on the door of our house while holding my luggage. After what happened, I decided to go back here. Maybe the city is really not meant for me.
The door opened, and Mom was surprised to see me.
"Cristine, why didn't you tell me that you were going home?" she asked, coming closer.
I couldn't stop myself from hugging her. The tears that I was holding while on the trip suddenly poured out. I cry on my mom's shoulder, wishing that these tears will remove all the pain inside my chest.
"Shh. Don't worry, Mom is here. Just cry until you feel like there's nothing to cry anymore," she whispered and caressed my back.
"I was left behind, Mom."
"No, you're not; I didn't leave you, Cristine, and I will never leave you."
Today, I cried to her. I told her what happened, and she advised me to do something else aside from crying the whole day.
