Carla's POV 

"Carla, what did Eugene say to you before he left? You seem deep in thought."

As I close the door behind Eugene, a mix of emotions washes over me. The weight of our charade feels heavier than ever, but Eugene's words offer a glimmer of hope. I return to the living room, where Cara awaits, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"He reminded me not to lose myself in all of this. It's a timely reminder, Cara. This contract relationship may be a charade, but I mustn't forget who I am and what I want." I settle back into the couch, a gentle smile forming on my lips. 

 "You're right, Carla. We'll navigate through this together. We'll find a way to maintain our true selves while fulfilling our obligations." Cara's gaze softens, and she reaches out to squeeze my hand.

Her words provide comfort, reinforcing the bond between us. I lean back, my mind filled with a renewed sense of determination. Whatever lies ahead, I'm resolv
