Carter's POV

She twisted her eyes, staring at me with confusion. I hummed with a nod. "Yes, I mean it. Name your price and I will pay you."

"Hmm, but why did you just change your mind? Can you tell me?"

"Well, Venice just called me now and she had filed a suit against me, which I'm sure to lose if I don't provide evidence of your pregnancy."

She chuckled, clapping her hands. "So you need me now?" She groaned with sarcasm. No matter what she was going to say, I wouldn't pick up anger because I had what I wanted. 

"So will you be going back with me?" I hastened to ask, this was the only opportunity I had. Her lips extended in more shock. I know this wasn't common, but I had to do it. If I could take her back, it would be to my advantage. 

"Will you be willing to pay what I have in mind?" She smiled, her eyes glowed with delight. Her joy was the money, how I wished I realized this right before now and utilized it.
