Chapter 36. Wrong Culprit

I have never been so wrong, confused and embarrassed like I felt today. I thought I had this figured out. I was supposed to pay a little visit to Stacey but she was nowhere to be found.

Money sorts almost everything. I got someone to find her location for me. A few threatening words and a little bribe would do the trick, or so I thought.

“What are you talking about? Why would I threaten to expose your relationship with Eliana? Isn’t she your best friend’s daughter? What else is there to expose?” She asked in confusion when I was done talking.

“Don’t play dumb with me, Stacey. I know you know exactly what I’m talking about. You mentioned it yourself at the auction.” My voice was a little too loud at this point. My anger boiled. I couldn’t stop myself from grabbing her arm painfully to stop her from walking away or anywhere near her phone.

“What exactly did I say, Scott? I’m pretty sure I never mentioned anything like this.” She looked at me
