Meanwhile, after Scott returned to his pack, he was furious as he thought about the things Milan had said to him.

He wanted her back and had realized his mistake, but why was Milan who he thought was head over heels in love with him being so cold and uncaring? Could it be because of Alpha Jake or because she has a child for him?

He entered his chambers and closed and slammed the door so hard that everyone in the pack knew that something wasn’t right with their Alpha.
