Chapter 28. Hidden Wounds

Blair moaned louder on purpose to get Axel's attention. Finally, Axel's angry gaze on Clarissa was diverted.

"You must be in a lot of pain. We have to go to the hospital right now!" Axel said with a panicked face.

All the warriors who served as Axel's bodyguards and had secured the cafe area cleared the way for Axel and Blair. Axel immediately grabbed Blair's shoulder after wrapping the girl's bloody palm with a handkerchief.

"Should I carry you?" Axel looked panicked and confused.

Blair felt awkward and uncomfortable. Several times she glanced at Clarissa. Blair decided to back off and keep her distance from Axel.

"I'm fine! It's just a small scratch. I can handle it myself. I can explain this situation to you and Clarissa..."

Blair is panic-stricken. She was worried that Axel and Clarissa's relationship would deteriorate because of her.
