Chapter 31. Emerging Past

Blair walked quickly away from the woman she had just accidentally bumped into. Blair found a quiet place out of sight of people to calm down.

While running, Blair's eye caught the movement of Carlos and Marco, secretly watching her while pretending to shop at one of the distros. When the two bodyguards were unconscious, Blair quickly slipped away and blended in with the other shoppers.

She reached the farthest elevator and punched all the numbers as long as it took her as far as possible from the woman she had previously bumped into.

"Why is she here? Of all the people, why did I have to meet her here? She can't see me."

In the elevator Blair is alone. She stood long enough for the elevator door to open and arrived at a deserted floor. Blair realized that she had reached the top floor of the mall building. After getting out of the elevator, there was nothing but the fire escape that led to the rooftop.
