Chapter 24. The Next Alpha

This isn’t how I thought the ball was going to go earlier in the day when I was picking out this gown. I expected to stay for a few hours, to possibly dance with all of the Alphas, but when Reece gave me the opportunity to leave, I took it.
After all, I saw Emily there, and if I stayed, I might’ve had to speak to her again.
Or be further tormented.
This is a much better idea.
He holds my hand tightly as we walk down the hallway. We aren’t hurrying, but at the same time, he isn’t slowing down, and I have to rush a little to keep up with him. His legs are a lot longer than mine, after all.
We reach a room near where I saw Tristan and Mark speaking the night before, and I have to imagine this is Reece’s room. Of the four, I imagine he is probably the neatest, the tidiest, and I guess his room is probably kept immaculately.
So when he opens the door and has to push some dirty clothes aside with his foot, I’m surprised.
