“I have something for you!” Shelby has a crooked grin on her face as she hands me a box, but I don’t want to open it.

Kelly is with us, and we are in my room after brunch. I am sitting in the infamous chair that we used last night. It has been disinfected…. Still, I didn’t think it would be fair to ask any of my friends to sit here. I suppose I could’ve left it as the empty chair.

My eyes are on the box. Does Kelly know what she’s about to see?

“Shelby,” I begin, eyeing the little blue box with a yellow bow on top.

“Open it!” she insists, and both of them giggle.
