Chapter 10. My Missing Piece

“So, what are we going to do today?” Jake asked, looking at me.

“Umm… do you want to hang out by the pool or by the lake?”

“How about we go to the beach instead? The wind is blowing a lot, and it would be fun to sit on the sand and talk.”

“Okay! Let’s go then!” I exclaimed excitedly.

We went out of the ice cream shop and headed towards the beach.

The sun was shining brightly, and the breeze blew in my face.

“It’s hot,” I complained, wiping off my face.

“Yeah, but the waves are refreshing.”

We walked along the shoreline until we reached the beach.

Then we put down our towels and spread them on the sand.
