Chapter 6. Twenty Strokes
When he shut her a look that promised the night was far from over. Air caught in her throat as she sucked in greedily.
Her magic was so weak she could not even muster up enough to save herself and teleport out of this madness.
So instead, she had to stay here and endure her faith. She glanced up to the bright moon that brought her false comfort earlier and wondered what she did do to deserve this.
Was she being punished for neglecting her wolf? Because to believe her husband could do this to her, could morph before her eyes into someone she does not know or recognize, must be for a higher purpose.
Because she simply refused to believe she was that blind.
So yes, to Queen Luna Aakifahlynn, it must be a higher purpose, and yet she could find none.
