Chapter 22. Betrayal

Melissa was exactly right. The company does need help, and, as she said, she did everything she could to get it back to the way it was. It just happened because the mining company we were working with suddenly pulled out, leaving the manufacturer without materials to make things with. I did not think it would get this far, but Melissa thinks someone is trying to control it.

"Mr. Custodio, this is not going to happen by itself. It is clear that someone did this on purpose to make the mining company leave. I do not know what they did to make that happen, but this is a warning to you. You should not have given everyone your trust. Someone close to you is slowly stabbing you in the back," Melissa explained to me.
