Chapter 23. Beta Wolf

"Well, at last. Finally, the show has started," I whispered to myself as I watched a wolf run outside the cave where they were mining.

I can see how shocked his workers are to see a wolf in the cave. They stood still for a moment as they tried to take everything in. Obviously, this is shocking news. But I know that the workers are not the only ones who are scared right now. I can see that Tristan is freaking out as he runs. This is an open field, and there are a lot of people who could kill him.

"Holy crap! How is it possible to have a wolf in the cave?' One of the workers nearby said to himself.

As I see Tristan coming toward me, I cannot help but smile. I am not that close to the cave, so he has not had a chance to attack me yet. And I am pretty sure he cannot even touch me with his claws.
