Chapter 35. Ripples of Madness
CYRUS
Night has come, yet the battle rages on. Desperation has begun to consume me, and my muscles are complaining of fatigue. I was of the thought that the arrival of the sons of dragons would give us a quick victory but day has turned into night while the struggle continues.
Yellow flame consumes the expanse, hot with a smell that is tormenting, for as I pant heavily, the smoke corrodes my windpipe, giving out a peppery effect. When I glance around, the catastrophic scene is like a tsunami, for the resilience of the Annunaki needs to be studied.
I suddenly see a pair of glowing red eyes lunging at me with aggressive alacrity and swivel out of the way allowing him to land on the ground which violently opens up and swallows him whole. This phenomenon is one I am yet to get used to.
