The dining hall was silent, none of the people around the large dining table venturing to speak.

Amber's mother had moved into the castle under the guise of helping to search for her daughter. Since I didn't have a choice, I let her stay. She was quite pensive, as she ate.

Next to her was her daughter, Kathy who had an odd expression on her face.

Brandon was seated to me, at the head of the table.

"Excuse us," I ordered both women to leave, when I noticed Brandon consecutive fidgeting on the chair.

"But we just started eating." Kathy protested. Her mother looked up at me with a strange look.

"Yes, Alpha Kaden, why do we have to leave?" She asked, making me sneer.

"Do I have to explain my every actions to the both of you?" I asked emotionlessly.

"No, no, that's not it, Alpha. Let's leave." Harley stood up, and dragged her unyielding daughter out of the hall.
