I squinted, trying to block the fierce rays of the sun that burned brightly from the window. I turned the other way, groaning and wrapping my hands around him. 

The soft light that shone into the room gave off a warm glow on the room. Kaden and I were wrapped around each other, cuddling and relishing the warmth that we not provided. We were still cuddling when a knock sounded on the door. 

I knew who was there before Kaden got up to answer the door. I could sense my mother's aura immediately. Kaden immediately walked towards the door and opened it. They strode in, looking very serious and seemed to have something important to say to us. 

I forced myself up from the bed, feeling a dull pain on my back. The pain had been there since I came back from the Pack hospital. I couldn't help but sense that something bad was going to come out of this. I only had to wait and find out what was going on.
