Chapter 29. The Lack of Trust Between Mates

Lumina POV

My blood turned to ice, hearing this from his mouth. “What did this boy look like?” I asked, alarmed, trying to figure out who this was.

“He had dark hair like mine, but his was curlier. And he was smaller than me. He looked like he wanted to run away, but he couldn’t.”

Riley. He was describing Riley, the little boy from the restaurant. Riley that bears an uncanny resemblance to Ollie. But how could Ollie have seen him? They were miles apart, and in completely different places.

Unless... unless whatever was happening to Ollie was connected somehow to Riley. But what would hurt Riley? Riley was never hurt in the past life. He had a doting mum and the attention of my husband. And he was never lacking for anything.

“Did you recognize the boy? Have you seen him before?”

Ollie shook his head, slowly as he replied. “No, I haven’t seen him before but I felt sad for him. He was really scared, Mama. Someone was hurting him.”
