The moment I left Xenois alone and went back to our shared bedroom while he went to his house study to handle whatever work crisis he had to deal with, I pulled out my phone with shaking hands.

There was only one person who might be able to help me, and calling her meant risking everything that I had – not just my marriage, but also my life.
