Chapter 10. A Sister's Betrayal

Emily's Pov

Before the sun rises, Nina and I are already in the car ready to head to the training arena. The journey lasts almost two hours, and for almost the entire time, Nina and I don't talk much. I try to approach her, starting a conversation to find out about her plans and Jimmy's. But Nina just gives me a glare and ignores my attempts. I watch the cityscape give way to natural vegetation until we reach the combat arena.

As we approach the entrance, I notice how monumental the place is. First, we have to pass through a narrow, rocky road. The car jolts quite a bit. At times, I think one of the tires might puncture. After navigating the rough road, a somewhat deserted landscape unfolds before us. It's a breathtaking sight, with the sun rising in front of us, creating an impressive mix of colors.
