Chapter 64. Breaking the Curse

Emily’s Pov

I look at her, confused and apprehensive. It's not possible that I have magic. I look at the flower field in front of us and can't sense any magic inside me.

Benson stands beside me and holds my hand tenderly, his touch warms my heart, and I take a deep breath.

"It won't hurt to try, will it?" Benson encourages me.

I reflect on that, and ponder Benson's words. My heart fills with hope; Benson's dark green eyes bring me peace. Our partnership bond pulses within me; the love I've been feeling for Benson has grown so much inside me that I want to try... I want to try everything possible because of him.

I lean closer to Benson, and seeming to notice my intention, my alpha king does the same, and our lips meet. It's a shy and restrained kiss, just to give me more courage to try.
