Chapter 41. No Choices

Sophia's POV

"Sophia, it's okay, I can hold out a little longer..." Khalid began to speak.

"No!" I interrupted him and pointed at Alex. "Take Alex's blood, that'll be enough for now."

Alex looked at me in horror and then at Achilles.

"Come on!" I spoke louder and put my hand to my head. I may not hear Daemon, but I know he's in pain, he's suffering, and I can't keep seeing it.

Khalid approached Alex and wrapped his arms around him, the next second his fangs dug into the neck of my Gamma, who was looking directly at me. I knew he wanted to resist, but he wouldn't, because it was my order. I asked Khalid to feed on him.

I can see Daemon's shadow stop twitching after a few seconds, and I breathe better and my body relaxes. Khalid immediately let go of Alex's neck but kept his hands on his waist and helped him walk over to the sofa and sit down.
