Early the next morning.

As soon as Cassandra stepped onto Lexford University’s campus, she was yanked aside by Mara, who looked furious.

“Cassandra, what the hell did that post on your Twitter mean?” Mara glared at her, practically grinding her teeth.

“Huh?” Cassandra gave her a smile, pretending to be puzzled. “Did I say something wrong?”

“You clearly told me last night at the market that the clip was one of a kind—then what’s with that post?” Mara was fuming.

This awful woman had played her for a fool.

Cassandra had quite a following, and once she reshared Mara’s post, people began questioning the price and uploading photos claiming the exact same hair clip was sold at the Christmas Market—for just twenty bucks.

A full-blown comment war followed.
