Daisy’s POV

It wasn’t just what Alaric said that made my blood boil, but how he said it. It was clear that he sees us as nothing less than some object he could play with and toss around when he gets tired.

I can’t believe I trusted this man, after everything he promised me, what on earth even made me think he would marry me and make me his Luna?

“You are sick, you are a sick man, and I regret ever giving you my body!” I said, anger boiling in my voice so intensely that the love I felt for him seemed to vanish in that instant.

“You don’t deserve me or my sister-”

“Stop acting all righteous, Daisy. We both know you don’t give a damn about your sister!” Alaric cut in sarcastically.

“That’s not true-”

“Stop lying to yourself. You wouldn’t mind throwing her under the bus just to have me.”

The painful truth was that he wasn’t wrong. I loved this man so much that I would choose him over my sister. I guess this is my karma.
