Tonight was supposed to be controlled. Civil. Forgettable.

Then another male touched my mate.

“I had planned to get through the night quietly, without drawing attention.

But then he touched her.”

When she walked in with her yellow dress, which hugged her body tightly, and complimented her skin, I was lost staring at her.

Other guys had their eyes on her, and that got me pissed off. They were lucky we were out in the open, I would have pluck off their eyes for daring to look at her.

I was interrupted by some council members from Bateview, and when I looked back at her, she was looking at me.

Those blue eyes of hers sparkling under the moonlight. I wanted to cover the space between us and kiss her, but I had to hold back. I couldn’t lose control or I lose her.

But, she suddenly became friends with this strange guy.

How dare he try to claim her as his? How dare he question me? How dare he put his arm around her
