Zachary

I had no idea what I was thinking when I stepped forward. I just knew that Daphne and her family needed help. It was something that I could do, strangely enough.

I had a fascination for projectors. It was also why I had wandered into this Cinema again, despite knowing that it belongs to Daphne’s family.

And she clearly did not want to see me.

“Are you sure?” Her mother asked, tentatively after Daphne said nothing.

I shrugged. “I’ve worked on a few projectors. Let me see this one first,” I replied.

The older man approached me. His hair was a similar color to Daphne’s, only littered with grey here and there. He was Daphne’s Dad. “Come with me,” he said.

Daphne didn’t want to leave me alone with her father but she also didn’t want to be near me. Still, while staring daggers at me, she followed us.
