Chapter 72. I’m Not a Child

Emma’s POV

I try to slam my door shut but a hand reaches out and stops it from shutting. I look back and I see Daniel standing in my doorway with a concerned look on his face.

“Do you want to explain what that was all about?” He asks me while he crosses his arms across his chest and raises an eyebrow at me.

“Not particularly,” I say with a shrug of my shoulders acting like it is no big deal.

Walking into my bathroom I shut the door and click the lock so I won’t be disturbed. Hopefully Daniel will get the hint and leave while I am in the shower. The hot water stirs up Ethan’s scent in the bathroom and I find myself daydreaming about being in his arms once again. I have to shake my head from side to side to rid my mind of the thoughts so I can actually take a shower. I take my time in the shower, relishing in the smell of Ethan that is swarming around me.
