Chapter 41. Clash of Ice and Fire (1)

Adam’s POV

Finally, after a long walk to find this den she calls her house, I stand at the door. It does not exactly look like a den, at least not on the outside, but still, as De Mario, she seems to have been robbed a lot. I bang on her door with all the rage and impatience that are driving me. I need to get this over and done ASAP! She has insulted me enough by making me come to her, so she better not try to be a much pain on my already irritated ass by keeping me waiting out here.

Knock! Knock!

Seconds of knocking on her door pass, turning into a minute or two. Or even more. Actually, more and more and more.

She is not opening the damn door, and there is no sound coming from within to welcome me in. And wherever she is, or whatever she thinks she is doing by lending me a deaf ear, she should know that she is sucking the little patience I have out of me. What is this?
