Madison’s POV
I pried my heavy eyelids open with a groan, feeling as though I were about to pass out once again due to the excruciating pain throughout my body.
The room I was in was dark, and it took less than a second for my brain to register my location. The wooden shed was made by Hays, and the pungent smell was familiar.
It was the hut Chloe had been kept before I arrived to help her.
However, I was not sure if Chloe had been able to escape because I was knocked out soon after I gave her the chance.
I shifted slightly, trying to rise to my feet, before realizing that I had been tied to the same chair Chloe had been tied to. I could not tell how long I had lost consciousness for, but I knew I needed to leave this place.
At this point, I could only hope that Raymond was able to find the deliberate trails I left behind and trace me to this place. If not, I might perish here.
