Priyank's eyes twitched as he heard her voice filled with hate, tears slipping from her eyes.
"I swear, if you shed tears for that old hag, I'm going to kill her," Priyank's heart clenched as he saw tears rolling down her cheeks.
He released his hold on her chin and gently wiped her tears away with his thumb.
She wasn't crying because of him; she was crying for that woman who had chosen others over her.
He hated seeing her cry, even if it was because of him. He could take his own anger, but not when it caused her pain, due to others.
"I'm not crying because of Mother Mary. I'm crying because of how you're treating me," Priya said in a voice filled with sobs.
She did feel hurt because of Mary, but she felt terrible because of him.
He was the one making her emotional and making it difficult for her to understand his problem.
