Chapter 43. Mates

Noelle’s POV

“Noelle? Noelle? Wake up!” I hear a voice say in my head.

I slowly open my eyes and look right into Gabriel’s beautiful icy blue eyes. My heart jumps with joy and Gabriel puts his hand on my face. I close my eyes in his embrace.

“I thought I would never see your beautiful face again,” I hear Gabriel’s voice in my head.

I quickly open my eyes and ask, “Did you just talk to me inside my head?”

Gabriel laughs, “Yes love, it is what they call a mate bond. I dreamed about all our moments together and when I woke up, I knew the mate bond was set in place.”

Tears of joy roll down my cheek, “I had the same dream. I am so happy you are okay Gabriel. You have no idea how I felt watching you get attacked and then finding you unconscious and stabbed so many times.”

Gabriel strokes my face, “I thought I was protecting you, but I see now that you don’t need protection. I saw in my dreams what you did to all the dark humans. You were i
