Serena POV

The look on Naomi’s and Damien’s faces was nothing short of pure Bliss for me, even though they appeared to be really angry. I was now their superior at the office, and I was starting to really enjoy making them do things against their will. I wasn’t a cruel office manager, though; but to them, I wanted to be as brutal as I could be.

“Oh, Mr Voss left already,” Anna spoke up from her desk.

I stopped and stared at her for a while, with the words slowly setting in.

“Oh.. okay,” I replied. “Has he gone out for a function or something? Did he tell you when he’ll be back?”

“Umm.. I think he went home. Heard him talking to someone I assumed works as security at a home.”

I bit my bottom lip in annoyance. I wasn’t happy that he’d go home without me, leaving me behind at the office without even giving me a heads-up.
