Myles POV

Kennedy jumped to his feet right away and pointed at me.

“I knew it! You brought them here! You’re soft now, Myles. Retiring, bringing your sweet little wife here in her fancy clothes. This is it, isn’t it? You’re handing us over.”

I stood up slowly with my jaw locked. I didn’t like shouting unless I had to, but this guy was really pushing me.

“You dumb fool,” I said sharply. “If I wanted to bring cops here I wouldn’t have brought Serena with me. Use your head for once.”
