Chapter 99
Serena POV
Although he did what he could to be calm about everything, I knew that Myles was deeply troubled concerning the events of the previous night. He wanted to resign from his brotherhood, but unfortunately they didn’t really see eye to eye with him on that, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, someone had sold them out to the cops.
“What are you going to do now?” I asked when he slipped into that quiet and brooding mood again for the fourth time that morning.
“We’ll all need to keep a low profile for now.” He replied calmly but darkly. “The feds and cops will be out every night keeping an eye out for us or any other biker, for that matter.”
He was putting on his necktie and was almost choking himself with it, distracted by his rage. I got up from the couch and walked to him, gently slapping his hands off the necktie. I carefully did it for him, and the corners of his lips broke into a small smile.
