Damien could feel his parents’ eyes on him, and for a ridiculous moment, he wondered if they had somehow been able to read his mind and knew what he was going to do later that night.
He was not the kind of kid who would normally sneak out to places like that. He went to parties, obviously, but going to illicit clubs that gangsters were known to frequent was not part of his personality. However, he was very willing to change a lot of things if that was what it meant to save Cassandra.
Now there was nothing he would appreciate more than for his parents to stop looking at him like scientists inspecting their lab rat, cautiously observing as if they were expecting him to do something out of the ordinary after being provided the required stimulus.
